The OECD assessment of the digital transformation in Latvia (“ Going Digital in Latvia ”) contributed significantly to national policy planning. Latvia is also actively working on a disinformation agenda within the United Nations. We support the establishment of norms and principles for the management of online platforms, while respecting the fundamental rights of individuals. In this respect, we see an opportunity for synergy between work in the European Union and within the OECD. Latvia also supports further work within the OECD to address issues related to the adaptation of the international tax system to the global realities of the digital economy, which would promote a level playing field for companies,” emphasized Latvian Foreign Minister.
