MISSION SEA 2030 (STAGE 4)
From 28 March to 27 April 2022, the 4th stage of the research commercialisation projects will be accepted for ERDF support (Measure 1.2.1.2 “Support for the improvement of the technology transfer system”). Available ERDF support funding (90%) is up to EUR 200,000.

The basic purpose of the mission “SEA 2030” is to settle the issues related to climate change, pollution and circular economy, creating a “sandbox” for the creation of innovative solutions and ensuring of sustainability, at the same time positioning Latvia as an innovative and forward-looking country, offering its solutions on the international level.

Projects will be assessed on the basis of criteria of Part I and Part II included in the Internal Rules, available here.
Eligibility and other conditions for eligible activities and costs of the project are defined in Part IV of Cabinet Regulation No. 692 “Regulation for the Implementation of the Activity 1.2.1.2 “Support for the Improvement of Technology Transfer System” of the Specific Objective 1.2.1 “To increase investments of the private sector in R&D” of the Operational Programme “Growth and Employment”, adopted on 25 October 2016.

Implementation of projects could be commenced on 1 June 2022, the research activities should be performed by no later than 31 December 2022 and commercialisation activities should be performed by no later than 30 June 2023.
On 29 March 2022 at 10:00 AM a webinar will take place about the selection conditions for projects of stage 4.
Presentations of the workshop:
Funding for projects in round 1-3 was granted in two stages, in round 1 up to EUR 25,000 and in round 2 - up to EUR 300,000. In round 4 - up to EUR 200,000 and the funding is provided for activities of the round 2 only. Application from 28 March to 27 April.
Supported activities:
In order to receive the support, a contract should be concluded regarding participation in the technology transfer event (in the case that you are interested, please, write to the e-mail: tehnologijas@liaa.gov.lv) and the procedure on receipt of the significant support.
Contributing to the achievement of the goals of the Latvian Smart Specialisation Strategy (RIS3), supporting the development of research results commercialisation competence in public research organisations, promoting the commercialisation of research results owned by these research organisations both in Latvia and abroad to increase the income of research organisations from the commercialisation of research results or convert the research results into successful business.
