Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Business Forum seeks solutions to exit the COVID-19 crisis much stronger

The 3rd Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Business Forum will be held as an online event on November 25–26. The forum is organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) in cooperation with the Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia and will gather 123 participants from 21 countries. 
“COVID-19 crisis hasn’t brought down the business, and many industries have been able to adjust to the new normal. One of such sectors is mechanical engineering and metalworking that faced a slowdown in the spring but has been able to follow the required safety measures and recover. Most part of the mechanical engineering and metalworking companies are even ready to increase their production output,” says LIAA Director General Kaspars Rožkalns. 
The aim of the forum is to introduce foreign companies with Latvia’s developments in mechanical engineering and to spur their international growth. The opportunities of the vibrant engineering sector of Latvia will be presented as well.  
The program includes presentations by distinguished foreign and local engineering industry experts on topics like the future of engineering, industry 4.0., robotics and supplier networks in Latvia. Entering new markets and COVID-19 impact on global supply chains will also be discussed. In addition to this, foreign buyers and Latvian companies will have an opportunity to make new contacts in the Networking and matchmaking event.
