Latvian entrepreneurs invited to CERN Industry webinar

On 18 September (2024) Latvian deep-tech entrepreneurs from various sectors are invited to participate in a webinar organised by the European Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN). The webinar aims to provide an overview of CERN’s procurement activities, key aspects of its rules and procedures, as well as a description of a wide range of upcoming requirements due to be tendered in the coming months. Since 2021 Latvia has been an Associate Member State of CERN, giving the Latvian companies access to participate in the organisation’s industrial tenders.

The webinar is best suited for companies working in the following sectors: electronics, optics, sensors, information and communication technologies, mechanical engineering, robotics, material sciences, smart coatings, control systems, instrumentation, vacuum technologies, cryogenics, etc.

Time: 18 September 2024 at 11.00 (Eastern European Time - EET)

  • An introduction to CERN’s activities as an organisation
  • An overview of CERN’s procurement activities and key aspects of its rules and procedures
  • A walkthrough of a typical tender process at CERN to familiarise companies with our tender packages and documentation
  • A description of a broad range of forthcoming requirements due to be tendered in the next 6 to 12 months
  • Questions and answers between CERN and the audience
