A cooperation agreement has been signed between LIAA and the Riga Investment and Tourism Agency
During the EXPO 2020 in Dubai, and Latvian National Day, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and the Riga Investment and Tourism Agency.
The agreement envisages working in close cooperation in servicing the investment projects that will land in Riga.
"2021. In the first nine months of the year, the total amount of investment projects serviced by LIAA exceeded 500 million euros. We want to achieve even better results in the coming years. Still, such big goals require stable partners who understand our values in terms of customer service quality, flexibility and mission approach, thus promoting the growth of the Latvian economy. In the Baltic Sea region, the city of Riga has always played an important role and served as a driving force in the country's development. By signing this memorandum of cooperation, we are joining forces to achieve common goals," says Kaspars Rožkalns, Director of LIAA, adding that Riga has the potential to become the most attractive metropolis in Northern Europe.
We want to achieve even better results in the coming years, but such big goals require stable partners who understand our values in terms of customer service quality.
The main emphasis in the cooperation between LIAA and Live Riga will be on projects related to ICT, international business service centres and medical technologies.
"To work on the coordinated attraction of investments, improvement of the business environment, development of tourism, and positioning Riga's image in the world, it is essential to create international synergies and local cooperation. This memorandum will serve as a basis for practical cooperation between Live Riga and LIAA in their daily work. It will also allow you to plan and implement complementary activities, address wider audiences and achieve better results together," said the Managing director of Live Riga Rolands Bogdanovs.
By the agreement, LIAA and the City of Riga will further coordinate their international marketing activities, strengthening common messages such as attracting investment, tourism development and communication of the country's image.
