Business Incubation Aid is available under the Innovative Business Development Programme for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the EU Structural Funds programming period 2021–2027.

These are various financial and non-financial aid measures targeted at young businesses to strengthen the viability of innovative, technological, creative and exportable Latvian businesses, increase growth potential and promote exports of goods and services produced in Latvia.

Admission to the Business Incubation Aid Programme takes place 2 times a year.

Beneficiaries

Merchants registered with the Commercial Register of the Republic of Latvia:

• corresponding to the status of a micro, small or medium-sized enterprise in accordance with Article 2(2) of Regulation No. 651/2014;
• operating for not more than 5 years at the time of submitting an application;
• having no tax debt exceeding EUR 150;
• who are innovative, technological, exportable or exportable/innovative merchants of the sector of creative industries (see criteria below);
• with a product or service developed to at least the minimum viable product/service (MVP) level with a readiness level of at least TRL4/BIMRL4;
• the business idea corresponds to a high-tech, medium-high-tech, medium-low-tech sector or food and/or beverage industry or knowledge-intensive services or the sector of creative industries (see your sector in the Eurostat classification (PDF)).
