Sensor systems produced in Latvia ensuring construction site security across the world

Adventum Tech is an innovative Latvian start-up specialising in the development of wireless real-time monitoring solutions for construction, energy and mobility. The company offers a full range of solutions: from proprietary high-precision sensors to customised software for data analysis and project management.

The technologies developed by the company allow for the monitoring of key parameters, such as the carrying capacity of load-bearing structures, cement strength, ground settlement, vibration impact, as well as sound and noise pollution. Not only do these solutions allow for the timely identification of potential risks and improving of structure safety, they also significantly cut costs and optimise construction work timelines.

Adventum Tech is actively taking advantage of the support tools offered by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA). At the end of 2020, the company joined the LIAA business incubator in Jelgava, which became an important platform for further business development. “Back then we only had our first pilot projects and ideas, the company was registered officially to be able to join the incubator programme. The incubator was basically our first business angel providing us with financial and structural support, mentoring and a large pool of information for entering export markets,” Ņikita Gorbatko, founder of the company, explains.

Development of new solutions entails high initial expenditure which can lower a company’s ability to compete in the marketplace. Thus, the co-funding provided by the incubator for purchasing raw materials and services proved to be key in the company’s ability to offer a competitive price. According to Mr Gorbatko even such a seemingly minor support measure as providing shared office space was of huge importance in the initial development phase of the business.

The company is currently focusing on further research and development of products, and it has recently applied to join a new incubator programme for innovative and export-capable businesses.

Adventum Tech has already successfully entered international markets with a focus on Scandinavia, the United States, Canada, Germany and Austria. At the same time the company is also actively pursuing cooperation with Saudi Arabia where it has already held high-level talks with leading industry representatives.

By the end of 2025 Adventum Tech is planning to reach a turnover of EUR 1 million. The competitiveness and level of innovation of the company is demonstrated by the two European patents the company already holds for its products with plans to register even more. The company likewise boasts a range of local and international accolades. For example, this year Adventum Tech placed second in the Construction Innovation World Cup which was held as part of the prestigious trade fair for the digitalisation of the construction, real estate and facility management industries: BIM World MUNICH. The company has been nominated for the Export and Innovation Award 2024 in the “Export Newcomer” category.

Since 2024, the Business Incubation Aid Program has been implemented by LIAA representative offices in Latvia and any company up to the age of 5 operating in the supported sectors can apply for the programme.
