One time is not enough: Metālmeistars experience at expo in Sweden
AB Metal, Ltd. (and its affiliate Metālmeistars, Ltd.) is one of the most hi-tech metal processing companies in the Baltic States, and during more then 25 years of operation it has cemented its position in the industry not only in the Baltics, but also elsewhere in Europe. In 2024, the company applied to take part in the national exhibit organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) at the international expo “Elmia Subscontractor 2024” in Sweden.
AB Metal provides metal processing and manufacturing of custom metal parts for companies operating in food processing equipment, construction, forestry, agriculture, machinery and energy sectors. It offers CNC processing of sheet metal, including CNC laser cutting, hydro abrasive cutting, tube and roll bending, as well as CNC machining, including CNC turning, milling and band sawing. Furthermore, the company also provides welding and other metalworking services. Its main markets are the Baltic States, the Nordic countries and Germany.

The company views taking part in international expos as a vitally important long-term investment in building their recognisability.
“Being a small, but technologically advanced and highly experienced business, we take pride in our flexibility and personalised approach to every customer. That being said, metalworking is an extremely specialised sector where it is crucial that your company be known. Taking part in international expos is one way to achieve that. It is also an opportunity for ourselves to keep up-to-date with everything – both regarding customer needs, and technological developments in the industry. It is a constant effort: one trip to an expo will not necessarily yield new customers, but go to a second and third, and you will be noticed and seen as a reliable and stable partner, and over time this brings in new collaboration agreements,” Arnis Balodis, Head of Sales, explains.
