Automation experts ELIGENT ready for export
Latvian company ELIGENT is an innovative provider of automated solutions with two main areas of focus: industrial automation and robotization, and development of automated management tools for critical infrastructure managers. The company’s customers include such well-known businesses as Latvenergo, Rīgas Siltums and E.Gulbja Laboratorija.
The company’s team of engineers offers a full range of services from initial research and analysis to developing, designing, programming, and implementing solutions. This allows customers to receive the comprehensive support that they need to improve operational efficiency and cut costs whilst also ensuring that the systems used are highly secure and reliable.
In industrial automation, ELIGENT develops and implements robotised solutions that help improve the efficiency and precision of production processes. Likewise, the company offers automated tools for critical sectors, such as data centres, water and electric companies, heat suppliers, railway companies and boiler-houses.

According to company spokesperson Toms Mols, joining the business incubator established by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia in Jelgava significantly boosted the company’s growth. ELIGENT joined the incubator at an early stage with a team of just three people. At that time, the incubator served as a safety net allowing them to take bold decisions. “We received financial support, such as co-financing to purchase equipment and software, as well as valuable advice from mentors and other businesses in the incubator,” Mr Mols explains. This support allowed the company to move forward much quicker.
As Mr Mols highlights, the benefits provided by the incubator extended beyond the period of participation: “We are still reaping the fruits of having been part of the incubator. Our previous participation is still providing the company with a broad range of opportunities in attracting new customers, as well as expanding our professional network. The incubator’s professional network continues to be a source of new employees.”
One of the best acclaimed projects that the company implemented during the pandemic was done in cooperation with NovaticLab – the development of contactless terminals for test sample submission. With an automated system operated by robotized solutions to accept and store testing samples without human involvement, these solutions significantly raised public health safety. Twenty such terminals were installed throughout Latvia proving ELIGENT’s technological competence and generating publicity for the company whilst also serving as a meaningful contribution in safeguarding public health.

Since its participation in the incubator, the company has seen remarkable growth. From an initial annual turnover of less than EUR 200 000, the company has reached over EUR 800 000 in turnover this year. The company is continuing to expand, focusing on developing exportable solutions, and they are committed to starting to provide their services abroad.
Since 2024, the Business Incubation Aid Program has been implemented by LIAA representative offices in Latvia and any company up to the age of 5 operating in the supported sectors can apply for the programme.
