Who Can Apply

Availability
Competition “Jelgava City Annual Business Award”
Program description
The Jelgava City Municipality offers a competition for entrepreneurs and business operators.
Who Can Apply
Entrepreneurs and business operators registered in the administrative territory of Jelgava City who have been operating for at least three consecutive years.
Type of Support
Companies are evaluated in three categories: “Socially Responsible Company”, “Creative Company”, and “Debut of the Year”.
Each category is divided into three subgroups based on the number of employees:
- Companies with up to 10 employees
- Companies with 11 to 50 employees
- Companies with more than 51 employees
Support
Cash prizes depending on the company’s size: EUR 500, EUR 800, or EUR 1,000.

Social Entrepreneurship Idea Competition “Impulse”
Program description
The Jelgava City Municipality offers the social entrepreneurship idea competition “Impulse”.
Who Can Apply
Limited liability companies, associations, and business operators registered and operating within the administrative territory of Jelgava City.
Type of Support
Submitted ideas are evaluated as part of the competition.
Support
Cash prizes of EUR 500, EUR 750, and EUR 1,000.
Availability
Grant competition "Upwards"
Program description
The social entrepreneurship grant program “Upwards” is implemented by SEB Bank in cooperation with the municipalities of Mārupe, Ķekava, Ropaži, and Jelgava, as well as the state city of Riga, with the aim of promoting the development of social entrepreneurship.
Who Can Apply
Any individual aged 18 or older who plans to establish a limited liability company and start a social enterprise.
A limited liability company registered in the Commercial Register of the Enterprise Register of the Republic of Latvia, which operates or plans to operate within the territory of the Competition, and which intends to apply for social enterprise status in accordance with the requirements of the Social Enterprise Law.

Funding for conducting economic activities.

The maximum amount of a single grant: EUR 8,000.

Grant competition "Inspiration"
Program description
The grant competition is implemented by SEB Bank in cooperation with the cities and municipalities of Jūrmala, Jelgava, Ķekava, Mārupe, Olaine, Ropaži, and Sigulda, with the goal of promoting the development of the business environment.
An adult individual who plans to carry out economic activity within the administrative territories of the partner municipalities of the program.
Companies that have been engaged in economic activity within the partner municipalities of the program for no longer than 5 years.
Type of Support
Funding for conducting economic activities.
Support
The maximum amount of a single grant: EUR 12,000.
